Nice lightweight fabric, but my baby can wiggle out July 20, 2010 Mommy_2_3 (United States) My 7 month old daughter still needs swaddling. She just simply cannot sleep without it. (She was born slightly premature.) I bought this because I love how lightweight the fabric is. It's perfect for summer weather.
However, she can EASILY wiggle out of this. Our Halo swaddling blanket works much better, but unfortunately it's too warm to use during the summer.
All in all, I'm glad I bought it. I just wish it was stronger and designed more like the Halo one.
farily good product, but not able to find its fit for my baby May 30, 2010 L. Li 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
The cotton is soft, so a baby can not be really wrapped tight within this product. On the other side, the baby has flexiblity to move hands and foots when being wrapped, and may not feel too uncomfortable which tends to lead to crying.
The swaddle is too big for a baby, definitely can not be used for a new born. My baby is about 13 lbs, and I can put him totally inside, including his head and hair. So every time I wrap around the top of the Swaddle to make it shorter and then wrap around my baby. Without that, I would need to wait for my baby to be around 20 lbs to use this product. At that time, my baby would be nealry one year old, and would not need this any more.
If you want to use as an extra soft comfortor for the baby, it is OK. Considering the size, I am a little bit confused what range of months a baby this product is targeting.
There is not much special about this product except the cotton is very soft. The price is pretty high, but maybe that is what you pay extra for "Organic".
Good swaddle May 18, 2010 A. Rambo I like this swaddler, but if baby is on the smaller side of the size recommended for the large swaddler, he may be able to get out of it. We tried the large size, but had to go back to small because he wouldn't stay in it. They don't make a medium in organic cotton that I can find.
Works well December 4, 2009 L. Honda So we tried to swaddle our kid like they teach in the hospital, but he was too smart and could get out after a few weeks. This product is great because you velcro him in and it covers his feet too. It helps them settle down. Our kid can get his hands out after 3 months to suck his thumb, but thats ok, it still works to keep his body and feet warm instead of a blanket.
great, easy swaddle November 22, 2009 sfshopper (San Francisco, CA, USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This swaddle is very soft and enough layer if your house isn't too cold. We also put a blanket on our baby from the belly down over the swaddle when it was cold. This was really the only swaddle I could find that fit an older baby. We used the Miracle Blanket for months, and after he grew out of that, we switched to this one. My son wanted to be swaddled until he was 8 months. This swaddle was a good transition swaddle for him, because we could wrap it loosely and let him break his arms out as he got older. This helped him transition to no swaddle at all. I definitely recommend this product. It would be good for summer in warm climates too where you want to swaddle but are concerned about overheating.
